I was really looking forward
to a sequal worthy of the original Austin Powers. I'm afraid this ain't
it.
The Spy Who Shagged Me has got some several funny moments, some of them hillarious. Unfortunately they're spoiled by way too much blatant commercialism, jokes carried over from the first movie that go on and on, and the character known as Fat Bastard. He's got one scene that's worth remembering. Otherwise, I would rather have him completely cut from the movie. He does nothing for the plot, isn't funny, and is disgusting. Heather Grahm is decent eye-candy, but I'm afraid she's pretty wooden as an actress. MiniMe is pretty funny, but I didn't enjoy him as much as a lot of people seem to. This is bascially his and Dr. Evil's movie, tho. |
