Well, the series has ended. American
Wedding concludes it pretty well. Overall, it doesn't stand against
the first two installments, but it's a nice conclusion to the series.
While Jim and Michelle decide to get married, and are the apparent
focus of the story, it quickly becomes Stiffler's movie. He ends up
being the focus of all of the middle jokes and the endscene growth-of-character.
Since they didn't bring back about a third of the original cast, someone
had to fill in.
The humor is the same as American Pie fans expect,
though the new gross-out bit for Stiffler is definitely too much.
The sperm-laden beer was very funny, and the golden shower humorous
enough, the dog doo just wasn't necessary. Besides, Austin Powers
already did it. There are some really great one-liners. I loved Finch's
cracks at Stiffler throughout the movie.
Fans of the series will want to see this just to finish things
out, but if the first two didn't keep your attention, you can take
a pass at American Wedding.
